I rent out this furnished, ready-to-move-in bedroom in a modern and clean shared apartment, centrally situated at Friesenplatz in Cologne's coveted Belgian Quarter! All costs and bills are included in the monthly rent. A cleaning service cleans all common areas of the apartment once a week. If necessary, you will also get support with administrative matters in Germany (town hall registration, etc).
This beautiful room is pleasantly bright and very tastefully furnished. On the floor plan, you can find it as 'Room C'. The room furniture includes a comfortable queen-size bed, optional bed linen, a bedside table with a lamp, a large cupboard with four drawers and lots of space for storage, a shelf, a big dresser for all your clothes, a desk with a modern chair and desk lamp to work at the laptop, an armchair with a ceiling floodlight to calmly relax in the evening, a door wardrobe as well as a large wall mirror. The room also features high-speed internet access, and a radiator. You can lock and unlock your room with a security key.
The apartment consists of a hallway, a bathroom with shower and a large separate communal kitchen as a residents' meeting point and for joint activities. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, deep freezer, ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher and a washing machine with dryer, as well as a flat iron and ironing board, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and a kettle. All necessary crockery, cutlery, pots, pans and cooking accessories are available.
The bathroom has a big shower cabin with a regular shower head and comfortable rainfall shower, a WC, a sink with a soap dispenser and compartments with personal space to stow away your private bathroom articles. Inside the shower cabin there are some more compartments for personal bathroom items. The apartment is also securely equipped with bandages, smoke detectors and a fire extinguisher.
On the ground floor inside the house, there is a multi-award winning Italian restaurant (highly recommended!). A supermarket is right across the street. In the immediate vicinity are all shops for everyday needs, doctors, pharmacies, restaurants, bars, clubs, clothing stores and the sprawling Cologne Stadtgarten park. The Cologne Cathedral and central station as well as the central pedestrian area on Neumarkt are just two metro stops away. All Cologne universities and business schools can be reached in only 10-15 minutes.
For getting around, you have perfect connections: From the apartment, within two walking minutes you can comfortably reach the Cologne metro station 'Friesenplatz' with connection to five metro lines as well as the regional train station Cologne-West with stop of the trains to Bonn, Leverkusen, Wuppertal, Koblenz, Mainz and Trier.
