The Yard Biella
In the historic centre of Biella, at Via Italia 84, The Yard is the new student residence designed for growing, studying and connecting. A fully renovated building of approximately 800 sqm, open to students from September 2026, with 19 single and double rooms for a total of 36 beds, just steps away from the city centre's services and with convenient transport connections.
Built with the support of the PNRR (Italy's National Recovery and Resilience Plan) through the Ministry of University and Research, in collaboration with EDISU Piemonte and Città Studi di Biella, The Yard is an officially recognised student residence.
Rooms and rates
• Bed in a double room: € 370/month
• Bed in a single room: € 510/month
All rooms are fully furnished and come with either a private bathroom or a reserved shared bathroom.
Each apartment is named after one of the most beloved places in the Biella area: a way of bringing the local territory right into your room, so you feel at home from day one.
Shared spaces
Much more than just accommodation: study areas and a coworking space, a fully equipped gym, a shared kitchen with induction hobs, multiple ovens and fridges, a dining area, a laundry room with washing machines and dryers, a relaxation area and an outdoor terrace.
Services
Included in the rate: high-speed Wi-Fi, utilities, maintenance, in-room air conditioning, weekly cleaning of the common areas and secure access. Additional housekeeping services are also available on request. One simple, transparent formula with a student hospitality contract: fixed costs and a single point of contact throughout the academic year.
Sustainability
The Yard was born green: the building, restored through an urban regeneration project in the heart of the city, is powered by its own photovoltaic system and designed according to energy-efficiency criteria. Living here means choosing an environmentally conscious residence, where everyday comfort goes hand in hand with a reduced energy footprint.
