Welcome to The Stag Room, an elegant and spacious bedroom inside The Canine Cottage, our countryside home nestled among the beautiful hills of Bologna.

This is not a traditional B&B.

It is a place where nature, animals and authentic Italian hospitality come together.

Our home is shared with a wonderful pack of around 30 friendly dogs who are free to come and go throughout the day. They are part of the family, and during your stay you’ll experience life exactly as we do: surrounded by wagging tails, joyful energy and unconditional love.

If you’re a dog lover, this can become one of the most memorable experiences of your trip.

If you’re looking for silence, formality or a conventional hotel environment, this probably isn’t the right place for you—and that’s perfectly okay.

The elegant Stag Room offers a comfortable double bed, a large wardrobe and a refined atmosphere inspired by classic country houses.

Location

Although you’ll feel completely immersed in nature, Bologna is surprisingly close.

* 🚆 Train station: 4 km
* 🚌 Bus stop: 4 km
* 🚗 Bologna city centre: approximately 15 minutes by train or bus

A car is recommended, although many guests also use bicycles or scooters.

* appreciate country life and nature;
* are looking for something authentic rather than luxurious or conventional.

This accommodation is not suitable for:

* guests who are afraid of dogs;
* people with dog allergies;
