I’m Melike, 40, from Istanbul, Türkiye. I’m a registered attorney with the Istanbul Bar Association and have 10+ years’ experience as a Legal Counsel working with international clients. Most recently, I spent 4 years as In-house Employment Legal Counsel at Decathlon Türkiye. I’ll be starting my LLM in Labor Law and Employment Relations at Tilburg University, as one of only 20 Tilburg University Scholarship recipients.

Lifestyle: Non-smoker, quiet, tidy and respectful. After years of corporate life managing legal teams, leaders and working directly with CEOs and CFOs, I genuinely appreciate slow living and a peaceful home, while being outgoing and enjoying coffee, sports and friendly neighbours.
FINANCIAL SECURITY
Personal savings: My rent and living expenses are secured through personal savings built during my established professional career.
First-year expenses secured: As a non-EU international student, I have already secured the required living expenses for my first year in the Netherlands as part of my residence permit process. (Payment receipt can be provided upon request.)
Financial history: I can provide my Turkish credit score (Findeks), demonstrating a strong and consistent payment history. (Official bank-issued Findeks credit report can be provided upon request.)
Professional background: With my legal experience and an established professional career, I have a strong foundation for future employment opportunities alongside my studies that will support me.
Scholarship: I have also been selected as one of only 20 students to receive the Tilburg University Scholarship, providing additional financial support throughout my studies.
Guarantor: If required, I can provide a guarantor who is a fellow Legal Counsel based in Türkiye.
