The tower was largely constructed from prefab concrete elements. A unique colour was developed for the exposed concrete. The balconies, parapets and framing elements were made of aesthetic concrete. At the place where the relics of the reconstruction determine the street scene, the skyline of Rotterdam is enriched with the Cooltower.
